I did this on mine.

Get these kind of paper clip that's in the photo. I think it's the small size.
What I did is I use my hairdryer to blow onto the back of the phone for about a minute or so around that spot, then immediately after that, get a micro fiber cloth and cover that bit of the phone and then put the paper clip on it. Try to be on the bezel and not over the screen.
And leave it overnight. I left mine overnight, twice. The first time it didn't really stay in. It's all good on the second time.

I did the just finger pushing it, but it didn't work for me

Yes that's a general problem... Ok not exactly a problem but when this happens your water resistance walks out of the window.... Better seek out your nearest Sony service or your providers store... It's a warranty covered issue... Had it myself, but since my workplace is an accredited service center I was able to do it myself. Don't try yourself because the " un-sticky sticky thing" need to be replaced. Dust, humidity can leak in the device. Be safe.

Mine is 13W10 AAC still had it... Next time I will go for builders silicone...

Did you put some heat as well or you just clamp it?

Here in Romania Sony Service isnt quite well responsive, I will have to take serious time to argue with them. Still the lift isnt that high, I will try to let the clamps more and if that still doesnt work I will try to go to Sony.

Your warranty is covert directly by Sony or by an service that is not related?

Directly by Sony, but I don't think they will do something about it because you have to look very close and well to see the lift. I will try but they are in a different area then mine so I have to go personally there.

Bad design?

I have noticed on My Z that the glass adhesive on the back is failing, in the area that gets hot the most, i.e. from the printed Xperia log on back right up to the camera lens on the left side only. The glass creaks when pushed down slightly, I clean the phone every day and this problem has only just started this week, I have had my Z it since its release on 28 Febuary on 3.
Not sure if I should contact my network 3 or Sony? what do you guys think?

Let's start documenting this issue, replete with manufacturing dates so as to pinpoint which batches might have this problem.

Mine is a C6602, 13W07 and I have no problems whatsoever

You should contact them if yours if from the Xperia logo to the camera lens. That's a pretty big distance compared to mine.

C6603 13W10 Problem.

Has anyone fix it like for a long period of time?

I saw the disassemble video of the xperia z on youtube and If you heat up the phone long enough ( I saw some comments for about 5 minutes with the hair drier ) the glue il eventually become soft and the back glass can be taken off. So theoretically when the glue becomes soft I you apply the amount of pressure to stick it right then it should not be a problem?

My guess is like the glue has a problem, one guy said that ( donottouch see post #62 )

Also I'm afraid that the water resistance has gone when the back lifted.

Well in my case the glass makes funny noise when squeezing from the "volume down button" up right to the top. "addicted to most wanted 2012"

I am going to CarPhoneWarehouse tommorrow

I wish the phone manufacturer reinvent the good, tested, old fashion screws.

I have this issue too, the glue melts when the phone is heating which will eventually gets harder after cooled up. This combo will lift the glass bit by bit. There is an easy solution for this like I did on my. I heated up with a hairdryer or just open up a game with the charger on it, this will get the glue melt again and then push the glass back on it and let it cool down for a minute.

It will stay for a long time back on now.

must try when it get serious.

mine uplift abit, also only at top left near the camera lens. I don't always play games but sometime phone do heat up due to games.
hope it won't affect the phone's water resistance as I do clean phone sometimes, but never submerge the phone yet. ><

.... bad .... very bad

Here's a quick tip for those of you going through this issue.....

I checked it out yesterday and there seems to be no lift BUT I have not played for long stretches on it and nor did I overheat it too much. Fact is the phone is sealed so it does not dissipate heat all too well.

Remedy?

1. When using it for intensive things, it makes a lot of sense to use it flat on another surface to help distribute heat ... for example a glass or metal surface. . essentially something that feels cooler ... So yes when water cooled the XZ won't cause this issue (ironically) :(

2. Buy a crystal cover which fits very tightly to the case .... (I use the one from Imak). This may help keep the cover in place when heating up and also transfers heat quite well.

Hope this helps reduce your frustration ....

On second thought we now have a remedy for when the battery dies :) Play your favourite intensive game and the cover pops out on its own like magic and voila you can change it :)

(Every dark cloud has a silver lining .... )
