Interesting, I was at 18% battery after 2 hours 45 minutes of screen time. 93% screen, 3% wifi, 2% cell standby. I'm starting to think that a) the screen really does just use a lot of power and b) my battery is becoming deficient.

SGH-i897 | Perception 10.2 | SpeedMod K12Q | I9088ZNKP1
thats what it seems like. but a lot of other people here seem to be getting a lot better battery usage than i am. I'm just hoping it is not because of defect hardware.

Not sure if the links still work there, but here is a link to the post concerning the stock Roger's ROM and Firmware. Regardless of if you're on Roger's, you could still flash to stock AT&T (so long as you have the APN of Roger's, check that under your settings > wireless networks > mobile network > Access Point Names, and copy that data down somewhere other than your phone (stuff like name, password etc, you should also be able to google this info). Regardless, here's the link.

I could flash to at&t but I was hoping to learn how to flag to stock rogers rom that way it would be all original to the way it was. Because if I do that and turns out its a hardware/actual battery issue I can take it back to rogers without them knowing it was once rooted and flashed.

That sounds like pretty good battery life to me, after all your screen was on for 3h35m, and I might add that it says nothing about the CPU draining (as most custom ROMs I've used do not display that in the battery info). Regardless, that's fantastic battery life.

I tried perception 10.3 and 10.4 and both ate battery like it was unlimited. I always flash back to stock and master clear. I’m currently using Cog 3.04 with SpeedMod K12r – 500hz (SpeedMod installed by Odin is the only installation that does not quickly drain battery) and I battery life is fantastic better than stock. I use Wi-Fi about half the time.

Read this thread for more ideas: xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=806211. Hope this helps

What u have to see is not just the screen time!

Screen time on with a movie (stored in SD) for 2 hours would have less battery usage compared to screen being on with a movie streamed, even on wifi.

When I was doing a test to see movie time, I got well over 5 hours with screen on before it hit the 15% mark. Mind u, I didn't not have any network usage during that time, except for my 2 gmail accounts sync (not more than 3-4 mails in that time).

But in real world, if my screen is on like 2-2.5 hours with an hour of calls, with the display time being used for streaming data/audio/video/mails, I hit the ~30% mark by the end of day.
