I recently bought the NST, but in place, where i live (Poland), it is impossible to buy accessories from B&N, and those on the net wasn't looking good, so i decided to make one for my device.
Not thinking long, i took the first piece of cloth i spotted. It is gauze, which you can buy at any drugstore or chemist's. I folded it to the size of the nook and made a sleeve. It's soft and not so big. I don't think it is very protective, but it is better than carry the device simply in the backpack. And another thing - it took me half an hour to do it and no money
