Do i have to be on the Verizon network to get the update?

So I have the 3G Xoom, but I do not have verizon service. Is the update only for people that have the verizon 3g service or people that have the verizon 3g device and use only the wifi can get the update?

The update comes from google. You can download it however you want. Google has no idea if you subscribe to 3g or not.

thanks, then I guess it hasn't been pushed to my device, cause it says that my device is currently up to date......

Nope, just got an OTA pushed to my Wifi Only Xoom courtesy of Google

I have a verizon 4g and haven't gotten the update yet either.
