Do not accept update X if you want to root!

Hi,

In the future I would like to root my Note 8 and be able to undo root in case of problem.
I kepp receiving updates from Samsung that contain absolutely nothing in the changelog. I understand some of the updates contain rooting blockers.
Which update should I ignore if I want to safely root and unroot?

You can never know when and what update Samsung will push and how it will affect possibility of rooting. You can only research and write in the forum after the update release to ask the other users if rooting is still possible after the update.

If you root its better to disable auto updates.

Rooted my Note 8 SM-N950F with Magisk 16.7 with the latest Oreo firmware CRG1. You won't get OTA's after rooting anyway.
