Question Do NOT Convert from CN ROM to Global ROM (CN ROM Officially Supports Google Play Services)

Does this work with all Google services? Such as Google pay, assistant and so on? Debating buying the phone on aliexpress as there's a sale.

I too want to buy from them but since I don't know how to do anything I need a phone that will update easy. Some seller there claim that it will get OTA after being flashed with a Global Rom. I even message them and they confirm yes.
I don't know if it is real though? I would have no problem sticking with the CN Rom as I know you can get Google to work on it but my problem is I read that there is some CN Apps that you cannot uninstall unless you are very experienced at Root the device I think but to much for me as I don't know how and those Apps would make me crazy if I have to look at them all the time.

I've been using X30 Pro (stock ROM) for a month.

Work fine:

• Play Store (build-in) - it can't update itself, but can be updated from moto App Center
• Contact (need to install Google Contact Sync from moto App Center or from other apk source, otherwise account sync will not work)
• Google One, Gmail, Keep, Docs etc
• Google Pay - no issue with adding credit cards, and NFC payment

Things that do not work or partially work:

• Google Assistant - voice matching option greyed out, so hey google does not work. Voice input works however.
• Android Auto - not working

I thought that the CN Rom,( which is what an X30 Pro is suppose to come with) gets OTA updates it's only if you flash it with a Global Rom that you aren't suppose to get OTA?

Chinese rom is great rom just uninstall Chinese apps & install google ones

Please help me, I used clone app inside the setting for WhatsApp but can't restore backup from my Google account, it seems google play service doesn't cloned as well, and there is not a way to clone google play service

No just uninstall apps & if you want uninstall anything else you can use adb shell in windows .

That's the part I don't understand. Is adb shell a windows program? Where do I find it and how do I use it? Is there a tutorial someone might be able tp post here?

This unfortunatelly is only partially true, not working on CN version even with google services activated:
- Backup of Apps over google
- Samsung Health
- Samsung Wear
- Google Wear
(all of them will not work to connect samsung galaxy watch 5)

Any ideas?

Backup of Apps over Google -- I have never tried this with my other Android phone. As an alternative, you can use "Moto Mover" app which is pre-installed with the phone.

If I try to login to Samsung health I got an error message that the browser isn't supported even if I installed Samsung Browser...

Keep in mind, I'm using Motorola CN ROM. Can you suggest an app to extract the apk?

For me APK Extractor always does a good job.
Would be great if you could give it a try and maybe as well Samsung health and wear, would appreciate a lot!!
I am on CN Rom as well bought the razr online in China .-)

Hello, Is any one geting OTA security updates on RETEU rom? If so how did you manage? Im still on October ... Id thought I be slick and use the VPN to see what could be seen from a fake EU location but no joy. I see a link was posted for lolinet but i dont see any thing as far as updates... only roms. have the razr ( 512gb ) overall pretty chuffed about the phone..Im waiting for the rest of the cafeteria to change their tone (aka Youtube reveiewers) seems they regurtitate the vomit of each other. this is a splendid device ( so far) the battery is amazing, Imnot sure what the issue is with the camera /video? I dont have it. If I ccan get integrated visual VM and "any" way to get security updates. im a happy camper...

Im also able to confirm the the bootlader can be relocked... thats actually very easy, though makes sure you back up as you will loose all of your Data contacts ect...
