What's your outcome?I did an it seems to be working fine, I'm going to try a U ROM next and see how that runs over PH1.
It worked OK but the phone still runs way better without root and just disabling a few apps. What's your outcome?
Root is possible, yet causes stability and battery issues. Custom ROMs are also availale but they're all based on Touchwiz. No AOSP or CM.Okay--so if I buy a new S7 Edge from Verizon, assuming it comes with latest firmware/software, can I root it and install a custom rom? Or do I need to unlock the bootloader first (which I'm assuming isn't possible yet)?
I ask only because I'm coming from a Note 3 running CM13 at 99% stability with great battery life so I'd rather hold off on the S7 Edge until I can put custom roms on it.
I don't doubt some may be having issues but I'm rooted using stang4litre from with no stability problems and battery life as good as or better than stock. Just my experience.Root is possible, yet causes stability and battery issues. Custom ROMs are also availale but they're all based on Touchwiz. No AOSP or CM.
is there a rom that works with Aph1 ? I am new to samsung devices and not sure if I can still flash a custom rom. if so can you suggest a rom ?Root is possible, yet causes stability and battery issues. Custom ROMs are also availale but they're all based on Touchwiz. No AOSP or CM.
The one I mentioned that I am using is linked below. From what I have seen it is rootable, but you may want to verify that first. Great rom.is there a rom that works with Aph1 ? I am new to samsung devices and not sure if I can still flash a custom rom. if so can you suggest a rom ?
