Untrue. Reference such a comment please. Thanks.

Zero problems with mine. I also own the iPhone 8 plus and in EVERY way possible I prefer the Note 8 week days and twice on Sundays. I think its the second mobile I have owned since 1989 that I am totally happy with. What else compares?

You actually took what you read here to heart to the point you avoided purchasing the Note 8 for months? :p You cant be serious?
I find forums a mixed blessing. If you read about any purchase on a forum it will contain mainly moans and groans, its human nature. If I took seriously all I read on the forums I belong to I would own very little indeed.

No, you got it wrong, I got my note 8 when available here in my city, the note 8 landed here the last days of October, in low quantities, black ones were very scarce, I did not want to order one, I wanted to buy it straight from a physical official dealer, the moment it was available, I bought it! I read all post just to be informed and aware of potential quality issues at the very moment of buying it, specially the infamous "light bleed" and front cam missalignment, let me say that I have to this very day, a perfect functional cool working silver note7, because I do not believe all the things that appear published

Just got a note 8 today, it has panel bleed on the top left and bottom right, as well as a little bit above the front camera. It's very annoying. A case covers it up, but I really dislike cases, especially on a phone this gorgeous. But apparently, this is a common problem. Is there a chance if I exchange it I can get one without the bleed?
Haven't had bleed or any other problem on mine that so many claim to have.

I love some of the thread titles "My phone shoots sparks and smoke out whenever I watch porn. Does anyone else have this problem?"

Most of the people's complaints can be solved with a three-word advice: 'take it back."

Ya know, the thing about "light bleed," especially with an OLED screen, is that you've really gotta be looking hard to see it. And sometimes you see it because you really want to see it.

What's the best way to test device if there's bleeding?
There's no test. You hold the phone at absurd angles that you'd never use in real practice while in the dark. Then you peer really close at the edges, looking for little bits of white light. In real-world usage, you'd never see it unless you have OCD or something.

The phone shouldn't have any and if it really really bothers you, take it back. Samsung has sold well over a million of these of these phones. That some aren't absolutely perfect is hardly surprising or noteworthy.

Dougher, you are absolutely right.
It is like collective histeria, some one reports "an issue" and then "BLAM!!" many others start having the same "issue"

Just curious, if OLED is individually lit pixels, where is this light bleed coming from? If I understand it, these screens have no backlight. I could be wrong tho.

Sent from my Galaxy Note8 using XDA Labs

I have a black Verizon model. I was checking it last night in pitch black dark after reading this thread, and I have zero light bleed anywhere. And this screen is much better than my S8+ screen as far as color/tint consistency.
