I'd like to see the Note 8 come out 6 months sooner (so around February) to make up for this N7 fiasco. I don't think the issue with the N7 was due to rushing the product. But we don't yet know what exactly WAS the issue yet. Until they find that out, they kind of have to hold off on designing the Note 8. They should just make it a better version of the N7, but with a removable battery. Of course better RAM, processor, IP68, as good or better display to body size %. But please get rid of the glass back and do NOT have a sealed in battery. They can still do IP68 with a removable back cover.

I can't see Samsung rushing the note 8 after the disaster with the note 7. Maybe after some thorough testing 
I've been reading the S8 and the Note 8 will likely come with removable batteries. I held off on getting the Note 7 because of no removable battery and the curved screen and kept my Note 4. Looks like edge screens are here to stay, but I sure hope they go back to removable batteries. If they do, I'll be all over it.
Rumors sure are piling up regarding early Note8 release. I hope so. But they better do it right this time.

I think Samsung is really trying hard for a come back in the form of Galaxy S8. The Note 8 is also in the queue, but S8 will be launched first with tremendous features like the Artificial Intelligence, Optical Fingerprint sensor, Dual cameras capable of recording 4K videos, etc.
Yeah but the S8 screen will likely be too small and no Spen.
That kills it for me as much as the other features/hardware on the device may be awesome

I sure hope they bring out the note 8 somewhere the coming year.. im still on my note 3. It has served me well but i had hoped to replace it with the note 6 but that one was as we all know, skipped. So now im looking out for the 8 which actually should be the note seven if samsung had kept up the logic count.... hell for the right price i might even settle for a "bodged note 7" .... nah ill play the patient buyer....

Exactly. The s8 won't get enough Note series buyers. They have a large hole to fill and s8 won't do it.
My dad has the Note 3, but he's not very tech savvy. I have a Note 5 but I'm currently using my Note 7. I couldn't imagine using a Note 3, I'm sure you keep it more updated then he does though [emoji6]

The rumor mill is buzzing about a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus with a "5.5in 4K resolution curved EDGE Super AMOLED Display" announcement at MWC in February 2017 as well! Its not a Note 8 but its a next gen bigger screen S8. This presents quite a conundrum doesn't it. Some are saying the S8+ was planed a long time ago, others say it is meant to fill the void left by the Note 7 debacle. Hum, a cutting edge bigger screen Samsung coming in 3 months minus the stylus and its functions. So, who will take the plunge?
The S7 edge is already 5.5". Note line since Note 2 is 5.7". Why do they need to call it an S8 + instead of and S8 Edge? Are they making the 5.1" S8 an edge screen also? Now were the S8+ 5.7" - that would be some great news.
Thanks for the link, but dang - talk about a lot of talk and rumors. Those rumors covered almost every base possible, so no matter what the S8 ends up being, it will probably have been listed on the site in that link.
The more I think about, the less I see myself buying a s8. I think Huawei P10 will have much of the same specs as s8 but will be cheaper. I want a Note8 and soon.
Actually IF they do go with a 5.5" regular S8 and a 6.2" S8+, I will jump on the S8+. Sounds like the display to bezel ratio is at or above 90%, meaning no side bezels an smaller top and bottom bezels. A big part of the innovation of the S7 and Note 7 are the very high display to body ratio's. There are a lot of rumors to try to sift through, but it is looking like Samsung is going to bring out some kick butt phones in 2017 in both the S-series and Note lines. The Note 7 was a precursor, but will seem dated once the 8 series come out. I will be using my N7 as long as possible, but will probably go with an S8+ if the rumors on the 6.2" display and very high display to body ratio are accurate. They might even have removable batteries this time around too. Then when the Note 8 comes out I will probably jump to that - the S8 will be worth good money yet so I can sell that if need be.

Has anyone noticed there is lots of talk about either S8 or N8 to be FOLDABLE? LoL. If that is true, I will have to switch to Huawei. I am not ready to such "advancment", especialy when Samsung couldn't even make their last unfoldable phone right.
Yeah, WTF? Also hearing it might have a screen on both sides. lol Try this stuff on a new line of phones and not the note, please. I just want a flat screen and a removable battery, something similar to the note 4 with the new technology in it and I'll be happy. Might have to hold on to my N4 for a few more years I guess.
