Installed root explorer and can see the system files? It might even be pre-rooted, how can I check?

Download super user to see! Though, I doubt you're pre-rooted? Did root explorer ask for permissions? You can also download terminal emulator and type "su", without quotes. That will definitely tell you.

Think I got excited too quick seeing some of the system folders in root explorer, did try superuser but said something about been out of date and then forced closed

The message im getting is su binary outdated so guess its not
