Dock Magnets?

I know that the Droid X dock just has magnets and 2 wires in it. If anyone is willing to take apart or mess with your docks please tell me if it has any magnets in them. If it does we may be able to use that same magnet without needing the dock

I'm fairly sure this uses some kind of Identifier with the USB to tell it to go into dock mode/car mode/webtop, rather than a magnet.
