I've found a fix for the blocked tethering on Docomo Galaxy Lollipop phones when using an MNVO.

This procedure has to be done once each time you change your APN settings.

Please let me know about any problems you come across.

Instructions:
  1. Root your device.
  2. Install BusyBox (Then open the app and press Install).
    Install Terminal Emulator or ADB.
  3. Double check your current active APN is working as it should.
  4. Download the script attached to this post to /sdcard.
  5. Open an ADB window or Terminal emulator.
    Type the command: su -c /sdcard/{script_filename}
  6. Done.

Verified Devices:
  • SC-01F Galaxy Note 3
  • SC-04E Galaxy S4
  • SC-04F Galaxy S5

Thanks! Was able to get it working after a driver update on my laptop and restarting my phone (although I'm not sure the driver update was absolutely necessary). Didn't even require any network configuration on my laptop to get it working.

Do you mind telling me which device you used?
