Does a s3 usb jig works for N7000?

I bought a usb jig. They say its universal, for s3, s4...
I have soft bricked n7000 note 1, ıt did not work. I tried it with my S3 which has no problem. I powered off. After i plugged the jig it entered
download mode. I want to learn it i have to buy another jig or jig is universal?

Yes the JIG is good for N7000, but if you can't get download mode with the jig then it means you need to repaire it with JTAG at a gsm service. You can't do it at home

Jig was built for the SGS1 will it work on N7000 ask in the correct N700 forum .
Or find the original how to build a recovery jig post its about three years old .
