ok so the included charger is only .7A in output so it charges slower. i tried switching to my old iphone power block (rated 1A) and using the attached usb cable because its higher output should theoretically charge the phone faster.
however, when using the iphone power block, upon insertion of the usb cable, the phone thinks its running off USB not AC. this can be confirmed by going into settings > about phone and seeing if it says "charging (AC)" or "charging (USB)". i have no idea why this is happening.
usb charging is limited to .5A maximum, so using this power block actually resulted in SLOWER charging than with the included charger. has anyone tried any other higher output chargers that allowed them to charge over 1A?
