Just tried to install via mirror apk, but received message that it's incompatible with my architecture. Are us Chinese users doomed?
Did you download the version for arm64, android x.0+, and, no dpi devices?Just tried to install via mirror apk, but received message that it's incompatible with my architecture. Are us Chinese users doomed?
What if you hold the home button?I tried installing the latest play services and I can see google assistant already in the settings from the google app. But it still doesn't work. When i say ok google, it's just the same old google voice search. I'm also using nova launcher btw.
Same thing happens when I long press home or open google app or voice seach. In nova, I can set it to use google app, or voice search. There's no shortcut for google assistant. What if you hold the home button?
Don't set a home button shortcut in Nova - leave it default. Clear all the data from Google app and the cache from play services, and then reboot. When it boots back up long press the home button and you should have either the assistant or on tap.Same thing happens when I long press home or open google app or voice seach. Or sometimes if you have a custom DPI set it won't work.
I've never used a Chinese variant but if you're rooted, couldn't you disable the Chinese voice app with titanium backup?Tried that and I still get the Chinese voice thing.
Try the Get Assistant app in the play store, or I think there's a Magisk module to enable assistant. I'm out of ideas though lolDid that a few minutes ago, now I just get nothing.
Hey im running custom dpi on nougat axon 7 us and this broke the assistant. can't activate it by holding home button. you got any idea if it can be fixed?Don't set a home button shortcut in Nova - leave it default. Not without using one of the preset DPIs in the display settings.Hey im running custom dpi on nougat axon 7 us and this broke the assistant. can't activate it by holding home button. you got any idea if it can be fixed?
Oh wow, this is hell man. not even a patch or any workaround? I happen to really enjoy the increased usability that comes with the custom dpi. I tried googling for answers but no luck. Not without using one of the preset DPIs in the display settings.
There's a adb command to set dpi.. haven't tried this personally on this phone but this should work on any android.Oh wow, this is hell man. not even a patch or any workaround? I happen to really enjoy the increased usability that comes with the custom dpi. I tried googling for answers but no luck.
If you have twrp, just go to terminal and type "wm density DPI" then reboot.adb shell wm density DPI && adb reboot
