Does it exist something like XDA for Apple devices?

I am thinking about buying an iPad, but I am afraid it could be uncontrollable, connecting to internet, sending personal data, etc.
Is there a hacking forum like XDA to tame Apple devices?

I know this is an old thread but anyone with and Apple device. There is a Pc program for Windows called "3UTools". It is a wonderful program. One click jailbreaks for a lot of older models to. It does much more than that though. Its free and easy to find
