Sorry I know it's not an exact match to your query but my S22 Ultra using Android Auto and in car built in wireless charging gets really hot. After about an hour it turns off wireless charging due to overheating

Wireless charging produces heat. Using Wireless AA with Maps running causes the phone to get warm also. This is normal, and they're not designed to be used at the same time. Also, it's not good for the battery.

Even iPhones (which are super efficient), will overheat while using CarPlay and wireless charging at the same time.
We get complaints at work all the time (BMW). They get so hot that they shut off the wireless charger.

It did get so hot it stopped charging after a while. However, in addition to AAW, I also had a mobile hotspot turned on, I will have to try if switching it off makes any difference. I also have it in a case but I am not going to use it naked.

At the same time, the battery life is now so good I fell much less concerned about charging the phone during the day, compared to my previous phone (S22U).

My OP10 Pro did have a problem like yours plus some other ones also. I was told to remove what I had on the unit and do a reset. After doing what was told, my OP works perfectly with a gain in battery usage and everything else works great. Have you tried to do a reset?

My S23 Ultra overheated in the car during wireless charging, so there was no message, but it was very uncomfortably warm/hot. For the fact that it only charges 10W without a cable, I think it's kind of bad for a premium phone.
Well, now I no longer have an S23 Ultra.

I have an S22+ with pitaka magsafe case (relatively thin), and I use AA Wireless + wireless charging (Anker 613 MagGo) regularly everyday.

I setup the phone with Routines so that wireless fast charging is off when the phone is connected to the car (as the other user suggested, it still charges, just not as fast. Theres no way to turn Wireless charging off).

I uses an automation app that starts detecting phone battery temperature when wireless charging is on. Ambient 22⁰C average. When I run AAW i almost always have youtube music running.

Here are the stats:

No WC + AAW: 38⁰C - 40⁰C
WC + AAW: 45⁰C - 47⁰C

The phone reaches these temperature after about 30minutes of driving.

Once the phone reaches 45⁰C, my phone gets extremely sluggish even with simple task such as typing for address (you get alot of "stttttttuccccck key ppppppress"), however navigation and music still runs smoothly on car informatant system. I think AA bypass any thottle or that it just takes priority over other apps.

My anker charger is positioned slightly above the AC vent, and when I direct the airflow to blow on the phone, it only decreases temperature by ~1 degrees, however it does greatly prolonged the time to reach these temperature.

Obviously there are a lot of variables that affect these temperature such as background apps and sun exposure, but overall you get the idea how AAW and WC affects the phone.

Yes, I have AA Wireless on my car(not via sht adapters, it's directly embedded in the car), and if I let my phone to charge wirelessly, it is overheating a lot...Really disappointed with this S23 Ultra
It's a problem with most phones afaik. Why do you keep buying Samsung phones? You complained incessantly about your S22U and now you're unhappy with your S23U. Maybe consider switching to iPhone the next time.

Hi,
before buying S23 Ultra blindly - the same way I did with OnePlus 10 Pro I just wanted to know if S23 Ultra is overheating while being wirelessly charged and running wireless android auto (with google maps + spotify).

OP10Pro is complete trash at this task, overheating in less than 30 minutes - which is the reason I want to change the phone.
I use wireless charging and wireless Android Auto via Motorola AA dongle. I have no problem fast charging via wireless and using Android Auto. Do it all the time, virtually every time I am in the car. My wireless adapter is mounted to the a/c vent so it gets some cooling that way. I frequently get to the office and have 100% charge when I get there. I have used it on 4 and 5 hour drives without overheating. I live in Florida if that matters. I do not use spotify but I always use Waze and Audible books. Hope that helps.

My phone is also always in a Spigen case.

Because I don't have other alternative...
Since huawei it's dead , I don't have any other brand to purchase, all have minuses...
I was looking for honor magic 5 Pro, but also this one has some minuses... :(

I have used my phone with built in wireless charging pad and aaw. I've driven short and long distances and it does heat up, but not so bad that I get heating warnings or anything. Longest I went was +- 2hours using maps and youtube music and wireless charging...could hold the phone in my hand without issues

I charge with official samsung fast wireless charger EP-P2400 (15W) after full charge its very little warm. Also I have samsung lather case.

No problems with charging and heating
How is this relevant to the OP's question of using wireless charging in the car while connected wirelessly to Android Auto?
