Hi,
I heard that unlocking bootloader and rooting removes a DRM for the camera which affect its performance... Is it true?

I dont have the source since I read it months before I bought the phone, as for the DRM maybe I got the term wrong but what I remember is that the phone uses a propriety software which gets deleted when unlocked....antways I'll take your word and go ahead and root....thanksSource pls.
And no, it's 99.999% fake news. I'll give it 0.001% that there is some tangential truth behind. Somewhere. Far away.
DRM stands for digital rights management. It's used for distributing digital content for money. If you tell me why would anyone want to copyright their family pictures shot with a smartphone camera to sell it, I'll buy you a beer.![]()
That's true but only on Sony phones as far as I know. I haven't heard of any other manufacturer (OnePlus included) doing that. You can root without worries.Hi,
