Does rooting/unlocking bootloader break camera functionality?

Hi guys, I'm currently looking at buying the H960 variant of the V10 (am in UK).

I am keen to root and unlock the bootloader, mainly to flash Xposed. I intend to carry on using the Stock rom alongside some xposed tweaks and rooted apps like Titanium, etc.

When I last used an LG G3, I noticed that after flashing an AOSP rom, the phone broke. i.e. the laser autofocus was absent, as this was all LG proprietary tech. I THINK if I stay on the stock rom for the V10 this will not be an issue, but I would like to hear from rooted users if they saw any differences in camera functionality.

Thanks.

Neither root nor unlocking bootloader will hinder any part of this phone, camera will not change
Xposed could cause some issues depending on what mods you use with it, but overall you will be just fine
Enjoy this awesome yet underated phone!

LG V10 H961N dual SIM. Lollipop. Rooted, but not unlocked bootloader. Xposed installed. The phone is awesome. The camera functionality is not affected after rooting. The same fantastic photos like before. (tested before and after rooting in photoshop).
I recommend this phone!

Thanks, mine arrived today but I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I didn't know you could install Xposed without a custom recovery - I only wanted a custom recovery to do nandroid backups and to flash Xposed. Is there a way to accomplish these things without unlocking the bootloader?

Search the forum! Xposed could be installed without unlocking bootloader, without recovery, on a rooted device! There is a program named flashfire by well known Chainfire. Search, search, search in this forum and even in playstore! GOOD LUCK!
