I'm trying to go back to stock because root is too laggy. Want to use U firmware, but does Samsung Pay work?

What's the advantage of UFirmware? From what I've read, it has less bloatware but just eats a lot of battery.

It reportedly consumed more battery on rooted devices, unrooted should be fine, though I have had no problem running on it (though I have a fair bit of adjustments applied). The U-Firmware performs better for me and a friend immediately noticed how much smoother his phone performed after switching. Wifi calling still works, though I think you loose VOLTE & vide calling. Less bloat could probably lead to better battery anyways, though to be safe you could always switch to apk1 and wait for Nougat.

On T-Mobile VoLTE still works, but the built-in video calling is absent on the U firmware.

I thought after you tripped Knox by rooting there was no going back, and Samsung Pay is permanently broken. Is that not the case?

Rooting does trip Knox. Flashing OEM firmware via Odin doesn't. Once you trip Knox, Samsung pay will not work anymore.

To answer OP's question, yes it works. I've been rocking G935U latest firmware on my T-Mobile Variant and works beautifully. I strongly suggest you move to U firmware.

Huh. That's very odd because I've rooted my S7E several times and I'm still 0x0 and I'm not rooted anymore because I like the use of Samsung Pay.

That's weird that it doesn't trip yours. All the posts I've seen on XDA and everywhere else say it does. Did you go as far as flashing a new recovery? I've tripped mine on my Note 4 before (not doing on my s7e because I still like to play it safe). How did you root yours? If that doesn't trip Knox, then Samsung just had a major mishap on their security. Good for you then. :good:

We can't flash a new recovery because the bootloader is locked.
You're writing in the T-Mobile forum man.
None of our Knox is tripped. We get root through an engineering kernel and flash through Flashfire.
Samsung Pay doesn't work but our Knox is still 0x0.

Pretty sure the only root that trips Knox is CF-Autoroot that you flash through odin, that's only available for the F model and the china snapdragon model.
