I remember that show said that it's inactive till you press the home button while your phone is locked. So it doesn't drain your battery (or only in the moment you use s2w/press the home button).

it keeps your phone on standby looking for you to use it so it will use more battery then not having it
Based on that logic wouldn't the phone keep on standby waiting for the power or volume buttons to be pressed, so therefore the same amount of battery is used?

As far as I know: no. In the first versions it was like that, but show changed it so it only reacts if you touch the home button.

Also, if I disconnect my phone from the charger at 8 pm, at the next morning at 6 am (when I stand up) it has still 99% battery left, so I think it doesn't affect the battery^^

Yeah the phone needs to be on stand by waiting for you to slide cuz there is no switch
Buy there's more then that on standby so won't use much more
Phone is on standby waiting for a call witch uses alit of battery

nonsense.
sweep2wake works with interrupts.
Every time the touchscreen registers a touch an interrupt is send to the kernel which in turn wakes the phone to check where that touch was and allows a higher resolution while sweeping. If you release the touch the phone goes to sleep again.
There is only the interrupt standing by, which is the same for every hard button you have on your phone and as long as the interrupt is not triggered, there is no other stuff going on. The beauty of interrupts.

The phone is also not "waiting" for a call in standby. The radio/modem is in an ultra low power mode and waits for a signal that belongs to your sim, if triggered it sends an interrupt to the kernel and wakes the phone from sleep.

keeping the touch screen receptive after lock is an entirely different thing. Please don't mix them up:good:
