I have tried to pair my Samsung Original Level Link 2-Way Bluetooth Dongle but it's not showing in the Bluetooth settings.

If it doesn't I was wondering if that was why?

I did have a chat about it with a Samsung support & they told me to wait till a new modal come out. Great help.

it should work regardless.
if the note 7 doesn't support apt-x the level link should just switch to a less efficient encoding.
and even if they didn't have any matching codecs, you should still be able to find the headset.

I just tried with a display model(SM-N930X) as my note 7 won't be delivered for at least another week, and it can see my level link just fine.
are you sure you put the link in "receive" mode, and enabled pairing mode?(hold play/pause button while turning on)

I did put it in to receive mode. But I no idea about putting in to pairing mode. I didn't need to do that with my note 5.

Shouldn't APT-X be fully software in a phone? The only reason they'd mention it in headphones is because they need to integrate it in the controller chips.

headsets go into pairing mode automatically when they have not been paired yet.
it's currently paired to your note 5, so it doesn't enter pairing mode by itself.

while the link is turned off, press and hold the play/pause button.
switch the link to "receive" mode while still holding the play/pause button.
when the indicator light on the link blinks blue and green, release the play/pause button.
the link should now be in pairing mode.

Apt-X is a CSR hardware and software implementation. I don't think that the Note 7 has it, therefore your Apt-X device will pair with the Note 7 in a standard BT mode that both support...

The Snapdragon 820 should support it as the similar S7 phone did. Exynos units may or may not though.

the note 7 should definitely support apt-x.
I just checked a demo unit at a phone shop here which should be the exynos version(though it's listed as SM-N930X)

here's how you can check for yourself(root not required, but that may change with android 7)
first get a file browser with rootless system access(read-only), I recommend FX File Explorer.
go to the /system/lib folder.
check for the files "libbt-codec_aptx.so" and "libbt-aptX-ARM-4.2.2.so"
if you can find these files your firmware has apt-x support built in.

Are there new confirmstions about the Apt-X feature? I have no identification on my headset. Is it possible to check the Apt-X feature with an app without root?

I'm still not sure if I have aptx on my Note7FE :(
there is a way to be sure 100%? Maybe some logs?
can any of you have the opportunity to check?
I do not have root..
