I've currently tried everything I could find to get my Verizon sim to work with the S5 from Tmobile. The phone is unlocked. I tried changing the APNs through setting > more networks > mobile networks > Access Point Names > New APNs , but it won't let me save when I try to change the MCC and the MNC numbers, It would just bring me back to the previous screen with no save APN. After multiple failure with different method; power off, remove sim card multiple times, switching sim cards. After hours trying to change the APN, I went a different route and opened up the apns-conf.xml file and tinker around with that. I made a copy of the original one and renamed it and replaced it with a verizon S4 apns-conf.xml

Is there another method out there I'm not trying yet? or Verizon doesn't want their sim card to be used on other carriers devices.

It would also be great if someone could give me a copy of the verizon s5 apns-conf.xml file (Located in ect folder)

Doubt if can make calls on Verizon. Don't think T-mobile variant has CDMA rdios. Also only has LTE if you are in AWS area. Until Verizon has VOLTE with voice and data on AWS LTE you are probably wasting your time.

Like prdog1 said, Verizon still uses their CDMA network for voice and text (as well as for 3G data). In order for a phone to work on Verizon's CDMA network, it must have the necessary hardware (and have it enabled), and it be approved by Verizon and entered into their system. T-Mobile doesn't use CDMA, and even if they did, their phones wouldn't be in Verizon's approved system. Plus, even if none of that were true, I don't think the T-Mobile S5 has all of the LTE bands that Verizon uses, making it incompatible with their network.

Long story short - you're not going to get a T-Mobile phone working on Verizon as a phone.
