Hello, I'd like to know if unlocking the BL of the OP5 decrease the performance, like picture quality, or sound or something else

(The phone itself is absolutely gorgeous & so powerful, no need root for tweaks or to upgrade its software style in my opinion) but having root access is fundamental
So does it worth it ?

I come from Sony Xperia world and I noticed a little drop of photo quality, also we were losing Sony special features (DRM keys etc.) that's why i'm kinda worried

I searched a bit on the web but i wanted user feedback

Thanks in advance for consideration :)

I know someone gave an answer already, but just to add on. OnePlus doesn't care if you unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery or ROM, or root. As long as a warranty claim cannot be linked to a software change, like OC/OV, etc they will cover it.

I think unlock is necessary and the sooner the better when you just get your OP5.
Because When you need ROOT, you HAVE to unlock and it will clear all your data.
Flash other Roms needs unlock too.

Why not unlock the sooner the better?
When you use phone for long time, unlock will be a trouble l, as you need to backup many data.
