Does xiaomi Redmi 5 phone support OTG?

I noticed when I plugged my OTG cable in the xiaomi Redmi 5 phone, and connected my usb mouse to it, the phone does not recognise it.

This is not an issue with another phone I have. The above setup works fine in my Moto g play 4.

Just wanted to ask community if this is the case or fact with the Redmi 5 phones, or, is there a specific OTG cable I need to buy?

I used the old OTG that I used for my Nexus, it worked although I didn't try to put a mouse, for flash drives, it definitely works

It Does work. . U need to buy original Samsung otg cable which is best in quality available in India. If it doesn't work plz turn on developer mode and turn on usb debugging. .
