I don't use Tapatalk...
Seem to remember quite a few people saying they don't have it..
Chances of getting a bad unit are remote.
Chances of getting two suggests to me that they have a bad batch..
3rd time lucky

OnePlus wouldn't have taken the phone back. Amazon shouldn't have tbh.
Phone screen randomly locks almost every 10 minutes or so. No indication why. Hoping a software update will fix this

Do you mean locks as in the screen timeout?
Yes, locks like a screen timeout. I have the timeout set for 10 minutes but this locks much more frequently and while I am actively using the phone. Will usually then unlock due to smart unlock.

So you have double tap to lock activated? Turn that off and see. Change the timeout to 5 minutes. Then see
Only problem I've had is the screen freezing on Android 10. I have to lock and unlock then it works again. On Android 11 the only problems I've had is the keyboard not coming up when I select a text box in Chrome and pages not rendering properly. I only had these problems in Chrome though.
The only problem I had was with the fingerprint reader not recognizing sometimes. but once I glued on a tempered glass screen protector that problem went away. That whole time I was blaming the phone pretty sure it was their crappy factory screen protector causing the issue LOL. I wound up downgrading back to 5.8 to keep the X-ray camera too.
