Does your Honor 6X overheat with normal use?

This probably is the normal temperature, but something seems weird to me with this phone. While it has the screen off, it gets cold very fast and feels "good" on the hand. Right when I power it on and do some task (no need for gaming, Facebook or Chrome is enough) this gets hot fast. Is this normal with this phone? My previous one(Zenfone 2 Laser) only heated when under heavy gaming.

Try to check if there are system updates amd update it if you can. I asked my friend who has a 6X(does not have XDA account) and he said he never had such issues.

No updates available. And what temperatures does your friend phone get into? Mine gets to 45C, but never more than that.

Mine never heated except when gaming. Under normal use it's rather very cold

I just had a conversation with my friend. He said his 6X only heats up when playing RAM hungry games and gets around 43°C. His phone was bought last January. When did you buy yours?

I bought mine 2 days ago. Maybe its because its summer where I am and its pretty hot, but I asked because my older phone handles heat pretty well.

Have a close observation with your phone please. Heating issues may become fatal.

Well, it depends on what temperature is fatal. Is 40C(very rare to heat more than that) very bad? I should have put this on the original post...

If it doesn't pass 40° then, it's good.
However, the temperature of the room do affect sometimes

Fatal temp may be 50°C and above.

My phone never got more than 44 so I think it's not dying soon.

I would just suggest if you use a case, remove it for a while if it heats up. To make cooling faster.
