Yeah, the issue isn't the app. 3rd party ones don't work either - whatever it is is buried deeper than that. I've tried T-Mo and Cricket - can send but not receive

Are you sure that MMS works both ways? Did you try seeing if you could receive as well as send?

I have the same issue.. i believe the problem lies in the "about phone" in "status" the "my phone number" says "0" for mine... others with this problem report it saying "unknown".. it must have your actual phone number there for the mms to arrive. This number is generated from info directly on the sim card. I have tried 2 different sim card editors that still haven't been successful in changing the "my phone number" to my actual mdn.

Hmm... Interesting theory. I hadn't considered that..

But by that logic, why does SMS work fine..? Or phone calls, for that matter? What makes MMS special?

I wish I knew the reason why but I dont. I just googled "mms requires phone number" and it is a very common issue.

I have another problem that I cannot figure out. Her Sprint Note 3 is working on Straight Talk AT&T but when she gets a call it does not auto put the +1 in front of the number so when she tries to call back it tries to make an intl call and it wont work. She has to remember the number and redial it with the +1 in front.

I've never had that issue with ones that I've unlocked. You shouldn't be seeing a 1 in front of the number anyway. Look in the call settings - something may be enabled that shouldn't be, in regards to that

Will the Sprint Note 3 get 3G on T-Mobile? Ting's compatibility checker says the Sprint Note 3's GSM radio only works for 2G (EDGE) data and LTE. No 3G though?

My Note 3 showed 3g when I had my ting sim card in. Even showed the high speed "H". I didn't get (show) LTE but the sim wasnt actived at the time.

if anyone could answer this question for me asap I would greatly appreciate it.... for this unlock method to work is it still necessary to have Sprint unlock the device internationally? Is there a way to do it without having to have Sprint do anything?

nvm after reading damn near every f'in page I found the link to the apk that internationally unlocks.

Lol Ting knows nothing. 3G and HSPA (4G) work perfectly fine
Speed test was 30 meg down 15 up heck of a lot better than sprints 2 down 0.5 up!

No there are two apps that will do it.
GalaxyTools.apk and SSU.apk
For any one else☺
EDIT:
Neither of this aps will unlock on Lollipop.
At the moment.

Now if the phone is blacklisted due to non payment should it still work with another carrier besides sprint or no? Cause I've unlocked blacklisted phones for non payment before but I know if it was reported lost or stolen then there's nothing that can be done.

Payment block does not matter when unlocking a phone for a different carrier. That applies no matter what carrier it is.

As far as lost/stolen, there's *always* something that can be done... Just have to know who to ask ;)

help help.. if you can that is lol.

OK, so I am new here but not new to mods and root, even got evo v to be evo 3d full s-off..:good:

Anyway I am posting here needing help with my N900p.. Have been trying for MONTHS to get it domestic unlocked for At&t Straight Talk.. to no avail..
Have done many things to it, even had to use the pit file a few times in the process.. (am so glad for that file).
I have followed this #1 post to the letter countless times on all but the original 4.3 FW, and after getting my L720T yes the T model onto straight talk, I am feeling I am at a loss on getting the N900P onto it..
I have Already tripped knox with cf-auto, but cant seem to get the Domestic to unlock fully.

If anyone is willing to try and walk me through a proper unlocking for this phone I would be very happy.

I can flash anything from NAB to NK4. I have all the firmwares, and seperated modems MI3 and MJ4. I also have the SSU.apk and GT3.0.8/gt3.1.2.apk files

It seems like I tried everything too and could not get my net10 sim to work either which takes the exact same apn as the straight talk, a simple mobile sim shows full signal but when i stick the net10 sim in it shows for like 30 seconds and then shows no signal. I recently purchased another note 3 for sprint and a note 4 im going to try all this with unless somebody else has already tried

Hey everyone. Been a while since I've participated in this thread, but I have some (hopefully) good news for you users on straight talk with sm-n900p!

I was going to town the other day, and figured I'd tinker with some network settings, and all of a sudden, 4G popped up :) I haven't messed with any NV items to enable more bands, but I did mess around with hidden menu (*#0011# in dialer)

Here is proof, band 25 4G on straight talk carrier, sm-n900p.uploadfromtaptalk1428868749243.jpgsorry about the font, really hard to read if you're not used to it. All caps doesn't help.

Any questions, I'll do my best to help. The reason of this posting, is because it has been said many times that this device doesn't support straight talk (at&t) 4G, well, it does :D

EDIT: Didn't realize flashlight blocked the goodies in notification panel. Here is another screenshot, but power menu doesn't quite disappear before screen capture.
