I finally cracked how to domestic unlock the N900P (Sprint Note 3) for use with T-Mobile/AT&T or any other U.S. GSM Carrier. Im writing up the tutorial now and finishing up the tools required to make it a little easier. However i spent over a month working on this and am asking for donations before i release the tutorial. As much as i hate to do it my car is on its last leg and i desperately need to find a new one. So please help me out as i hope getting this phone unlocked helps you all. I'm currently using mine on Straight Talk (can't beat $45/Mo using AT&T Towers). This is a fairly simple procedure it just has quite a few steps but if you follow every step to the letter it is cake. I am really trying to get to around $2000 just to find myself a little clunker so any donation is appreciated. I will post up a video for proof that i have accomplished this just so you all know this is not any kind of scam.

Disclaimer: YOU MUST HAVE YOUR DEVICE INTERNATIONALLY UNLOCKED FROM SPRINT FOR THIS TO WORK. I AM WORKING ON INTERNATIONALLY UNLOCKING WITHOUT SPRINT BUT IT IS REQUIRED IN THE MEANTIME. ALL OTHER TOOLS REQUIRED I WILL PROVIDE. YOU DO NOT NEED AN ACTIVE SIM CARD IT WILL SHOW BARS AND CARRIER INFO WITH INACTIVE CARD.

Disclaimer 2: ROOT IS REQUIRED FOR MULTIPLE STEPS AND THIS PROCESS WILL MORE THAN LIKELY TRIP KNOX. I AM WORKING ON A WAY AROUND THIS BUT IN THE MEANTIME THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY DOES TRIP KNOX. YOUR WARRANTY IS NOW VOID!

Disclaimer 3: IF YOU BREAK YOUR PHONE THEN YOU BROKE YOUR PHONE I AM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE. (I BRICKED MY PHONE MANY TIMES TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THIS PROCESS A SIMPLE ODIN FLASH AND WAS GOOD TO GO.

Thanks for the feedback :D THEY DOO!!!
When I was using my Sprint Note 3 I was not able to get 4g at all.... I eventually just bought the t-mobile note 4...... you may have better luck then me though :)
True, I should have put an asterisk next to my last post.

If you're in an area where T-Mo still runs HSPA on 1700 MHz only, you won't get 4G

Hmm, do I have to worry if the restoring of stock and flash back to sprint modem and the network wont change back to original, even after I did the fix from the #2 of the OP?

I few quick questions...

Ive been gone from here for many months. I had read up to about the first 80pages.
But now obviously way behind. I got a 3mo Sprint subscription for my Note 3 for like $35/mo. After 3mo they happily internationally unlocked my M900P Note 3 when I told then I was taking a trip to Europe.

1) My phone wants me to upgrade to Lollipop. Should I not with having the carrier lock removal in mind?

2) what functionaily might I lose if I do the OP's instructions and can I go back if need be and how hard would that be? I live in Maryland Heights Mo in St Louis county so its pretty metropolitan and my phone currently bounces back and forth between 3g n 4g depending on where I'm at if that helps.

3) will it effect my current Sprint contract/phone after doing the unlock as right now I'm in no hurry to change so not looking forward to any issues at this time.

4) Anything else I might want to know at this point?

I might point out I'm an engineer and generally understood much of what I've read so far but definitely not a phone hacking expert. But I have to say I'm sure glad I found this site as you guys seem to be the most experienced!

Thanks!!!

1. The unlock can be done on any software version, even Lollipop.
2. You don't lose any functionality by unlocking. Calls, texts, data, etc. all work. Data speed/network will depend on your desired GSM carrier's coverage in your area.
3. Unlocking it won't affect your Sprint line. You can easily revert back to full Sprint service

How can I get Sprint to internationally unlock the phone? I bought one from a friend for $40 because the LCD screen was cracked... Got the fixed with some other parts but Sprint doesn't serve our area and I want to use it on Straight Talk.

You have to have an active sprint account, worked for me then I ditched em. You can use the SSU app if you're in the USA I believe, here on XDA.

The phone was on an active sprint account - the person i got it from dropped it and busted the LCD screen and gave it to me. I fixed it and want to use it on a different carrier as sprint doesn't serve up here.

So if the phone isnt on an active account they won't unlock it?

My guess is no. The account holder has to convince sprint to internationally unlock it via OTA update, then domestic unlock is easy after that. If you are in the USA, search for the SSU thread. It worked for me on another note 3 in a similar situation.

If you are not on lollipop, yes. That is all the information I have to help, thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2928250
This is only a domestic unlock though, hence why I keep saying if your in the USA it should work. If on lollipop, you will need to downgrade to unlock, then do whatever you please.
I've got it rooted and was going to install a custom rom. I am in the USA.

Where can i get a downgraded rom and if i update rom would i lose unlock

There are PLENTY of odin-flashable stock restores here on XDA, just search for it. Flash any version below lollipop, unlock, and yes, the unlock will persist through flashing. It is permanent. You will need to stay on MJ4 modem for the sim card to be recognized though. Some ROMs require newer modems, thus making them incompatible with the unlock. You will need to play around with ROMs and see what works for you
