There are PLENTY of odin-flashable stock restores here on XDA, just search for it. Flash any version below lollipop, unlock, and yes, the unlock will persist through flashing. It is permanent. You will need to stay on MJ4 modem for the sim card to be recognized though. Some ROMs require newer modems, thus making them incompatible with the unlock. You will need to play around with ROMs and see what works for you
I see. I Will look into this. Though i know on my verizon note 3, older modems caused slow speeds and bad coverage.

If i installed the rom killer kitkat, with the NC5 modem.. would i be able to change the modem to unlock the simcard still?
Yes. I am on a note 4 ported lollipop ROM currently (in which the creator was banned for signing/locking it I believe) and latest firmware (oc5), with the exception of MJ4 modem. Flash whatever you want, as long as you keep mj4 modem. But as stated before, some ROMs require newer modems, thus making the unlock incompatible (for example: cm12+, AICP, probably AOKP and PAC-ROM too)

You seem very knowledgeable so may I ask you ... I unlocked Sprint Note 3 and am now using Cricket. Which Roms can I use? Ones for Sprint or AT&T or another. IT took me 3 days to get the phone to work so I don't want to mess it up again. Any help is much appreciated :)

Best practice is to use Sprint ROMs on Sprint phones, Verizon ROMs on Verizon phones, etc.

You didn't mention or quote anyone so I'm not sure who that was directed at. But you can use any ROM that will boot on the phone. As long as it doesn't include a modem (and they shouldn't), the unlock will remain. There have been several already mentioned along the way in this thread. For the most part, anything with your same firmware version should work, as long as it's built for a Qualcomm Note 3. I would definitely compatibility with the N900P before flashing anything though

I was not aware that is can be done on lollipop, may have gotten mixed up with the other thread. Thanks for the info, I bow to you ;)
Lol. Well I certainly need no adulation. My handle is also an iJoke, not necessarily saying that I myself bow. Just clarifying :p
