Hi,

does the TWRP 3.1.1 by @jemmini (20170810 based) works with touch or otg and mouse?
Maybe this one here could help to get touch. https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...e-mix-twrp-t3648831/post74446199#post74446199
i have followed the instructions, to port a twrp for the Doogee Mix.

greetings
jay the twrp posted in the first post works perfectly with touchscreen and is not reversed like before, I've just tried it and it works ;). To flash use fastboot command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" :good:

Hey has anyone experienced a stuttering problem with music? Since the day I got it, I couldn't play a newpipe video with the screen off, it would skip like crazy.

I know some phones hiccup every now and then but I was trying to play a voice note the other day and I had to clear all tasks in order to make it stop skipping. This phone have 6gb of ram, wtf? (mine says 6144 after updating)

This is pretty much the only issue I've had with the device besides 4g dropping sometimes

I experienced exactly the same thing. Stuttering of music as soon as screen turned off. Tried different players but no change. Tried other things. Didnt work out at first but all ofca sudden worked fine again without updating firmware or so.
Strange indeed. Hasnt happened never again since.

Your bluetooth works perfectly?
I have tried now the third ROM and Bluetooth alwalys fail to connect to my Creative Woof Bluetooth Box. Also in the Car the connection is loosing after some Time (2min).
EDIT: Sorry, i was wrong! With the latest ROM i can connect to my Creative Woof Bluetooth Box and works fine. Will test that in my Car, too. :)

We appreciate a tutorial to install stable root, twrp and xposed to our mix. I have the 6gb and I'm afraid to make something wrong in the process of installation.

guys can someone tell me how to install xposed? I'm on 4gb version, 17/11/02 update, magisk 4.0 and decpypted storage. What I have to do to install xposed? :)
Hi, you have TWRP allready installed, right? Then install the xposed-apk. After it's done, reboot in recovery and flash that file (xposed-v88.2-sdk24-arm64.zip) from here: http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk24/arm64/
That's all. GravityBox and Bootmanger Modules are working fine for me.

How to open Bootloader, Root and install TWRP Recovery

1. First of all you need the android SDK Platform Tools with ADB and FASTBOOT.
2. Install the SDK and you will have adb and fastboot in a folder of your PC-File-Explorer
3. Go to your settings menu on phone and activate usb-debugging and OEM unlocking
4. Now turn off your phone and press volume+ and power button at same time
5. You will get three settings recovery, fastboot and normal boot
6. Choose fastboot and connect your phone to the PC
7. Open cmd with windows start button and go to the adb/fastboot folder on your PC
8. Now type in "fastboot devices"
9. Your devices should be listed
10. Then type "fastboost oem unlock" and follow the instruction on your phonescreen
11. Download a twrp recovery and place the extracted recovery.img into the adb/fastboot folder on your PC (File-Explorer)
11. If it's done, open fastboot again like in step 7, 8 and 9
12. Type in "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
13. Now the recovery will be flashed to your device ( INFO: with the last steps (11-12) you can easily backup the original recovery from Stock-ROM)
14. Boot into recovery by pressing volume+ and power button
15. If you have decpryted data, then format the data partion (you will lose any personal data)
15. Flash the magisk-v14.zip file and reboot the phone
Now the Phone is rooted and has a open Bootloader

How to install Xposed
1. Install the xposed-apk.
2. After it's done, reboot in recovery and flash that file (xposed-v88.2-sdk24-arm64.zip) from here: http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk24/arm64/
- That's all!

modify host-file for doogee mix

You are welcome @Echaeos.. The gravity box give us a lot of customization.. :)
A other thing, that have i done is the apk Adfreezip. You get a flashble zip file to modify your host file.
1. Install the Adfreezip.apk
2. create a zip file with the app
3. reboot into recovery and flash the host.zip
(4.) After reboot you can see the new host file with es-explorer for example (works fine)
Finally never see ads again in free apps from playstore.. :)

greetings

Thank you for taking the time to write this guide.

I think I'm only going to root this if there's ever a decent version of lineage released for it.

I've rooted phones before but there's something sketchy about this and I've read too many horror stories. [emoji15]

In regards to adfree app, you can achieve the same thing by getting the pro version of apps and also support app development [emoji39]

Has anyone noticed the logd process eating a lot of battery? My battery seemed to be running down more than it should. I installed Better Battery Stats and logd (in the Process section) was using more battery than anything else, even System. I ended up disabling it and that solved that. :)

You are right, support is allways a good thing. But in this case, it's a simple host file that must be replaced and therefore you don't need any third app. On my Samsung i used adaway with full root, but that doesn't work on the doogee with preroot. So there is the only way to flash the host-file to the system via twrp. If it's done you don't need to run any app and that's in my opinion the better solution.

I'm not advocating running a third party app to block ads.

I'm saying it's easier and better for app development to spend a dollar or two on the pro version of apps than to use the app "adfreezip" that you recommended

guys if anyone like me hate that colorfull icons in settings I have a solution with xposed. The module is calling "settings editor", you can find it even in play store (I've bought the pro version at 1 €), with that you can change everything in settings, delete or make new voices, change background color, text and the icons.

Let me know ;)
