Doogee MIX Camera is used by another program

Hello guys. I have installed this ROM and my Camera app is not working.

I have tried reset, clear camera cache/restart, permissions etc. I used other Camera apps but they are not working as well.

The Camera worked when I got the phone but now it doesn't.

Any help?

How did you flash it with SP Flash Tools?
When i connect and try it says BROM ERROR: STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL(0xC0060003)
What does it mean.
I installed drivers for MT67xx and latest SP Flash Tool
I have my phone turned off and when i connect (after clicking download in SP Flash Tool) it says the error.

Hi everyone !
Juste got mine yesterday, the 4GB version, and it's a very pretty smartphone. Everything seems to be working fine, but the cameras needs a better software : too much noise, no filter.
I'm very intested now to get a root software for it. I tried Kingoo Root but it doesn't work. I noticed the cpu cores are often too much active, this needs to be fixed with a software like Kernal Adiutor which needs root.

Some models are not going to recieve updates over the air, it mus be updated manually. Check out the official forum of Doogee. A lot of people are mad there.
Official support is bad.

Hi everyone !
I did test it myself : the second advertised rear camera, if it is exists, does nothing at all.
You can put a black tape on it and take the same shots as before.
Have you seen this video ?
It might be the sadest joke of everything i never saw for a chinese smartphone :

If it true, and that a software update doesn't proove this second camera is a real one, that would say Doogee is just a bunch of liars and that we have been abused.

It seems either the software doesn't use the second rear camera, or this one simply doesn't exists.

I will give you my feedback about this phone.

I receive it with the 20170617 firmware. we noticed that the camera quality inside was not ok.
So I decided to check for updates... First with OTA, Nothing.

I checked the website and found some firmwares, 20170621 and 20170630.
I tried first with the last one, invalid scatter file, after that the chip model was not matching...
With all that I bricked the phone, nothing on the screen, no logo, no recovery mode, everything was gone.
I has a lot of BROM errors (type mismatch, status_too_large, sec_dl_forbidden.....)

I first tried with the software version provided on their website (https://spflashtool.com/) last version (5.1628) --> DO NOT USE THAT VERSION

After a break I decided to try again, so I downloaded another version from (https://tehnotone.com/download-sp-flash-tool-v3-v5-latest-versions/) 5.1708 and it worked the first try.

So here is my advice for people having issue like me, do not spend a day looking for a solution.

Now with this last update the inside camera is better (not exceptional but good).

thank you for the documentation here. I have bought this phone, but still not arrived (South america =( ). But I'm reading a lot of bad feedbacks in doggee forum, and what a terrible forum, but some good reviews in youtube. All the reviews are froma very quick perspective.
As I understood this far, the phone is very good but has some serious software issues.
Would you mind to share your opinion?
This model that you have is 4Gb or 6G? What do you think about the CAMERAS now, they are ok?

Hi.

I have the 6gb version. I know that firmware for 4gb is still not released...
For me yes it is a very good phone for its price. With some firmware fix it will be even better its sure.
Camera is ok with last update but they can improve it.

I dont want to flash with spflashtool... simply in fastboot..

So far there is no OTA with this new Firmware.

I received the 6GB/64GB this monday. So far it seems a nice HW with a so so SW. On the good side, build quality, specs and a nice screen. Battery seems OK also, but I am not sure about real use time (more on that later). It's heavy but feels like solid...it reminds me of the Nokia Lumia premium range of some years ago...

SW is a mixed bag. Seems OK on day to day, but with occasional problems. It has Nougat (nice) and feels lag free. It also has the possibiity to use RAW with some camera programs (Camera2 API).

On the bad side, there are several problems that mainly seem related to SW. Some of them have been already told:
- Battery settings not logging app use
- Launcher (Freeme) is a little low on widget possibilities
- FingerPrint cannot awake phone after some time slept. You need to press power first.
- Some bugs here and there

Main problem so far is camera performance. It misfocus lots of times, there is not that much detail and noise is too high when light is not perfect. Camera app seems really basic, several options but little manual possibilities (pro mode is just too basic and gets all the options stuck in front, with also problems to select focus area). It feels like it is all related to the camera app and driver not really at the same level as the camera HW. I really really hope they will fix it soon... It feels really dissapointing to make some photos and see that several of them are out of focus. Once you get the camera to focus, detail is not the best but feels OK. If they really get more options for manual mode and improves camera app and driver, cam should be quite nice...

Those who have tried that new roms that are out on the wild (not by OTA), any improvement? What about camera app, focusing, detail, noise,...?
