Hi, because there is no dedicated forum for this model and rest of threads are a little messed, I'll try to piece all informations together.

Firmware:

Doogee_S60_6+64_Android 7.0_20171013 FOTA
Code:
https://mega.nz/#!BD4VXSSb!94rtmbpqO5p4m7aCT2srUr1FHjUZp2wxyS7FaDbjE68
Doogee_S60_6+64_Android 7.0_20171020 FOTA
Code:
https://mega.nz/#!BCBnlAYb!zoGYWPXMTEaYB6ej8f3KvFrbHZrmEX2p3eWlwOTNqg4
SP Flash Tool v5-1708
Code:
http://spflashtools.com/windows/sp-flash-tool-v5-1708

OTA:

DOOGEE-S60-Android7.0_20170928
Code:
https://mega.nz/#!CMQCxBaC!CYcImy7yUeEwLINArbykAyk9Ycwd9weAWn1PuqwEb-s

Recovery:

TWRP
Code:
https://mega.nz/#!iNQQmQKa!VSWV4l9IbNcqplFPsBfduPHrKeuCbq2qmjm5AAE1NaI

Root:

SR1-SuperSU-v2.82-SR1
Code:
https://mega.nz/#!XZxwCAyQ!b5mzZaX3XRZ1vYOzBrhUfz-RNEKT5IKPqVbdPaLbe6c

BusyBox

For any problems with installing BusyBox install:
BusyBox by meefik
Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.meefik.busybox
or
UPDATE-Busybox.Installer.v1.24.2-ALL-signed.zip
Code:
https://mega.nz/#!CJ4ymSyZ!YZHi8Wku7T6WP4SVqzvvdEGIvohPYoQdS2rGJ7E1DsE

How to:

Root:

1. Tick "Enable OEM Unlock" option in "Developer Options"
2. Turn off the phone
3. Boot Recovery by holding Vol+ and Power buttons
4. Reboot Bootloader
5. Open cmd inside adb folder and type "fastboot oem unlock" it will wipe Your phone
6. Type "fastboot reboot"
7. Wait until phone wipes data (it's very important because without it TWRP can't access data partition) and then repeat 3 and 4 steps
8. Copy recovery.img inside adb folder
9. Type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
10. Type "fastboot reboot"
11. Boot TWRP
12. Use OTG cable to connect mouse to phone - because of recovery bug touch is not working in recovery mode
13. Copy SuperSu to phone or SDCard - use only patched version from this thread because other versions not working
14. Flash SuperSu (if You skip steps 12-14 and boot system, phone will overwrite TWRP with stock recovery and then You have to flash TWRP again)
15. Reboot system

OTA:

To install OTA:
1. Download firmware matching one in Your phone. If there is no one, take boot.img from latest OTA.
2. Extract boot.img and recovery.img
3. In bootloader mode "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
4. Boot system and install OTA
5. Back to bootloader and flash TWRP "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
6. Boot TWRP and flash SuperSU.zip again

Thats it. There is no need to full unroot and clean SuperSU. But don't try to install OTA on patched boot by SuperSU and custom recovery. It will block OTA downloader app to search for update again. If You do that, before next try follow my instruction and wipe data of OTA downloading app to search for update again.

Xposed:

Just install Xposed 3.1.x apk and install framework using Framework menu. No need to install zips.

Greenify Xposed on Andoid 7.0:

To use Greenify with Xposed Boost on Android 7.0 You have to install latest beta apk by participating beta program at Google Play.

AdAway:

To use AdAway just install BusyBox.

Fix too quiet speaker:

It's common problem with pressure in some Doogees S60. To fix it temporary just open USB flap, turn on music and close it again.

Hardware:

Speaker:

Out of specification this phone has only one music speaker!!! Right stereo speaker is not working or maybe even it's not present. We have to wait until someone disassemble his phone to be sure.

WiFi:

Out of specification WiFi is not only B,G,N 2.4 and 5GHz but also AC. Successfully uploaded file to Samba server with 30MB/s speed.

Wireless Charging:

Phone is compatible with most commons wireless charger like one from photo. Don't suggest brand because it's most common, china model and every seller has his own brand name on it. :) If You want cheap one like this just buy one looking like this.
ailun-charger.jpg

USB Cables:

Unfortunately Doogee S60 is not compatible with all USB cables but it's also not compatible only with one with longer plug. If You are looking for decent cable check Aukey. It fit's well and it's fast charging compatible.

Then type *#*#3646633#*#* in the keypad.

Thank you for the topic!
Still waiting on my phone to arrive though, in the meantime can you confirm everything is working as expected with the root method included?

Everything is working fine except SU binary update. You can't update binary but despite this SuperSU is working like it should. You can even install OTA just by flashing stock boot and recovery and then go back to TWRP and root with simple fastboot commands.

Hi Chamelleon, and thank you for your post.
I am very new to this so I have a few questions. What do you mean by the term "flash", like flash SuperSU and flash TWRP? If I understood right I need to flash TWRP before SuperSU because I don't have an OTG cable? Or is the cable necessary?
Thank you to any one who answers this :)

Oh didn't think about it. Yes if it is speaker not, earphones open USB or earphones cover. There is also permanent fix but to do that You must make small hole in 2nd microphone membrane. Phone still should be waterproof but I'd rather not diving with it after applying that fix.

1.
I had very low sound/low recording via audio recorder. This could be easily fixed with the app MTK Engineer Mode. Just increase gain on recording etc.

2.
Advertised 4k video recording does not work. There is only FullHD.

3.
Is there any working recovery (newer version of TWRP?) that can be used with touchscreen or the keys of the phone?

Is there any working recovery (newer version of TWRP?) that can be used with touchscreen or the keys of the phone?

I have seen people using "SP Flash Tool" to flash TWRP and SuperSU etc for MTK SOCs, seems to work alright afterwards. They didn't mention using an OTG cable so I assume TWRP touch screen was working. I've not tested this yet as I don't have my S60 yet.

I'm having an issue with button mapper turning off automatically. I downloaded the module you mention above and I'm having trouble getting that to work as well. Would you mind listing your settings for the F3 button? I would also like to change camera button from long press to double tap but I have to admit I am a bit confused about settings.
    Basic chain
Keys: Single press (F3), delay 0.0s
    Actions: Do nothing
    Repeats: 0
    Vibrations: 0
    Screen: Always
    Audio: Always
    Music: Always
    Telephony: Always
    Notify: No
    Wake up screen: unchecked
    Cancel original key functions: checked

For the camera, there is a hardcoded setting in /system/build.prop, ro.camera.longpress_start, that you should set to "no", then you can remap another action. I set mine to launch Open Camera with a long press, except when the screen is off or phone is in a call, and not canceling the original function so it still works when the camera is open.

Hi, flash means download to phone. First You need to flash TWRP using USB cable and then SuperSU with TWRP form SD Card. To use TWRP You need OTG cable to navigate menu.
