Doogee X5 MAX PRO is coming with MTK6737 64bit 4G lte processor

wow, Doogee leaked the news that they will announce Doogee X5 Max pro smartphone at the end of this month. It will be the other version of Doogee X5 Max, but DOOGEE X5 MAX PRO will come out with MTK6737 processor to save more power than X5 MAX. So what do you expect with Doogee X5 MAX PRO?
Check the rumor specs:
5.0" HD 1280*720 IPS, capacitive touch screen
MTK6737 Quad core processor
Android 6.0, 2GB RAM 16GB ROM
Dual Cameras, Back camera 13.0MP + front camera 5.0MP

Even with good processor, rest of specs are too weak! I mean screen in FIRST place, RAM, ROM, camera...

I think that's an exaggeration... I own an S3 which is sub par in every department and it is smooth in multitasking and everyday usage [emoji14]

Wont happen, its a bait and switch for the X5 Max

This phone will never happen, its a 'Bait and Switch' for the X5 MAX.
On the http://www.doogeemobile.com/doogee-x5-max-pro.html site they send you to pompmall to make your purchase, if you don't read carefully you will purchase the X5 MAX ... Not the X5 MAX PRO.

I will never buy this brand of phone due to this behavior.

RAM = 2GB ... You want 4GB in a $100.00 phone?!
ROM = 16GB ... How much more do you want?!

Doogee X5 Max Pro can become the upgraded version of Doogee X5 Max, it uses MTK6737 quad core 64bit CPU instead of MTK6580 Quad core, RAM 2GB ROM 16GB internal storage , more attractive price.

DOOGEE X5 MAX Pro

Well.
Having just lost my phone (Mlais mx base) Which was really nice (though it did have one or two interesting issues!)
I have ordered one of these from Deal extreme.

Afaics doogeemobile.com seems to be something of a scam or fake site - even the logo does not match the official Doogee logo - and they even don't provide any address there.

I think http://www.doogee.cc/ is the official site - also with an official company address: http://www.doogee.cc/article.php?AId=8

Generally KING R00T is the way to go with Chinese phones, no guarantee on this method, you could damage the phone.

This is the only Marshmallow (6.0+) R00T that I know of.

I just damaged the charging circuit on new phone doing a r00t (5.1), the battery would not charge unless the phone was turned off. I had to reflash the firmware but the manufacturer has not released the ROM as of yet.
It went back to china as a defective phone, PayPal claim.
R00T at your own risk. and if you find a method that works please post it here as well ... TY

Ya, I'm here in Edmonton, I have reverted to DHL for all orders over 25 bucks. They charge only $7.50 per package, under 5kg, I try to combine orders, sometime you just have time constraints and a $5 item just has to get shipped express courier, the cost is always absorbed by the customer ......

Anyways, are you sure you didn't get the the x5 Max for that price? And not the x5 MAX PRO @$110 CDN (+/-) ...

I double checked. It is the pro max and it is usd 79.99. The regular max (non pro) is 64.55 usd

There was a $5 off special when I ordered it as the normal price (today) is usd 84.98 for the max pro

Hi guys, i'm new here, though Ive been using advice, contents and softwares from xda developers for the past few years, i joined yesterday. I appreciate and i'm very grateful to you all; developers, testers and simple users(like me) for making this forum this wonderful.

I also bought Doogee X5 max pro and received it a few days ago, so far it has been a wonderful experience using it, it's very responsive and the camera is ok for it's price. The only con i detected so far is the processors speed, while shopping for it, the specs given on-line is 1.3ghz instead it is 1ghz using cpu-z. I hope they fix it with their next update or maybe i was wrong with the expected speed.

However, my major problem now is how to root it. The build id for it is MRA58K, there are 7 types of systemless boot image on the site given by UnableToResetOldProfile, which one do i use. Also there is no twrp image for Doogee x5 max pro on twrp site. If anyone has successfully root theirs, kindly help outline the procedure to root it, thanks
