Double tab to wake?

I have been look for a solution for double tap to wake my kindle fire, i know this is kernel dependant but has been deloveped already??
have anyone give it a try?? i think this is the ultimate extra for this tablet that still up an running?

If anyone has a github for tab to wake for other device that i look to see if i can port it.

It's available and doesn't require a specific kernel but does require root:

That said, I've noticed it doesn't always work.

You probably are on the incorrect forum, you supplied me with the link for N6 apk, this tap2wake is a kernel solution and your apk talks to the kernel as far i understand but N6 has taht already on the kernel taht's why the app works.
I am looking on how to implemented as this wont work on the kindle fire.
