I just wanted to know: is it possible to downgrade to 4.3 from the 41.1A (5.1) bootloader?

So I can't go to 4.3 anymore? You can go back to KitKat, however the Stock Motorola OTA Update system is in no way designed for down-graders.
If you accept an official OTA Update, you will join the others who have done so, and end up with a phone destroyed beyond repair.
If you flash the factory firmware images - you will get constant notification nags to update.

Apologies. No, Stock Jelly Bean 4.3 is not possible once you upgrade the Bootloader. You should be aware that there is a serious Battery bug with anything less than Stock Android 4.4.4 - the phone will randomly shut off without warning. So I can't go to 4.3 anymore?
