Hello,
I installed the last CM10 Quarx's nightly with his custom kernel but my screen have problem, it appeared dead pixels, it's an hardware problem. So, I would to send my Defy+ to SAV but I voided my warranty with rooting, installating of BootLoader and flashing an unofficial rom and kernel. Thus I ask you if I can re install my older kernel with a SBF in order to at end unroot my phone to send it to SAV (for details, I have made a nandroid backup before the installation of CM10 rom and custom kernel)

PS : SAV is french, in english it's "after-sales service"

Just pick a sbf of your region and flash sbf+ wipe data from stock recovery, to get the phone running in stock condition

Don't worry at all about kernels, it will be wiped when an sbf is flashed

Do I understand correctly that a nandroid backup is not really required? But that one can pick a official SBF as posted here and just flash it as you described?

The only reason to make a nandroid backup here is to restore your phones' current state when you get it back from repairs. With flashing a SBF you erase all data from the phone and restore the factory settings. Then you can send it for repairs without risking your warranty.
