Is it possible to downgrade the Google Play Store on a rooted Pixel 3a? I noticed I can update it to anything newer, but it will not allow me to install a lower version. Fortunately, I was finally able to remove the Play Store entirely by using the Debloater by Veez21 in Magisk. It removed it systemlessly, but then it introduced a new problem I didn't plan for. I installed the Play Store (many versions, including old and current one), but because the Pixel 3a is systemless, I was only able to install them as a user app. Each Play Store installed successfully that I tried, but then they would constantly error out and close every few seconds which was very annoying. Clearing the Play Store cache/data and even Play Services did not resolve it, so I ended up restoring the original system Play Store back using Debloater's restore feature.
So if the Debloater script can remove the Play Store during boot, systemlessly, then theoretically, shouldn't I be able to replace the current system Play Store app with an older version during boot. Of course I have no idea how to do that. Any suggestions?
