Downgrade to 3.01

I use the following thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073462) to update my Xoom Verizon 3G to 3.1, but I would like to go back to 3.01 can I simply just flash the Stock boot.img and System.img from 3.01, I know I will have to restore root, but would this be possible?

Why would you go back to 3.01 ?

I have a Vulkano (Sling Type Device) and the Vulkano Player is not working correctly on 3.1 (it is skipping/buffering).

Just flash the stock system.img and tiamats boot img and you should be set. You will have to use adb to push su to have root back.

You can nand restore a 3.0.1 backup also.

At the very least you can use the leaked 3.0 SBF to go back to factory condition and then manually upgrade to 3.0.1 again. Especially being rooted, that should be a simple route however you will definitely lose all data.
