Installed latest build and systemui started to crash everytime I opened some apps together. Most of the time it happened when I was playing a game and got a Facebook notification, the game would crash along with the systemui. So I rolled back to march 7 build

I'm running the latest build. No crashes. Running perfectly. I did a system, data, sdcard, cache and dalvik cache wipe before installing it with 8x8 fuzz and PA gapps.

Hmm, maybe I too need to make data wipe, but I didn't expected such thing to happen without willing data.

Well, I THINK I did something wrong. I used one of the scaling profiles on the blog, and now the size of actual, visible, usual screen space has been reduced to a rectangle in the middle of the screen about 3½ x 3 inches big. Should I reflash the ROM?

Any one try the May 23rd release from http://goo.im/devs/succulent/ovation/cyanogenmod/internal yet? Can the fuzz kernel be used with it? I am thinking of upgrading on one hand it is the latest and should have many improvements but on the other hand I am still running the February release and it is rock solid. What do you guys think?
I'm on the 5/23 build. Runs better than any other build I've tried. New theme engine, better performance, more free RAM. The fuzz kernel can be used with it.

The kernel is on succulent's blog. I think it's right above the builds. The kernel has some touchscreen improvements but I personally haven't seen that much of a difference.

Battery life

I am having noticeably worse battery life on the latest build. Wiped data and installed 8x8 fuzz kernel. I seem to be having various kernel wakelocks. I really love the build though.

FYI, I wasn't able to update from CM10 to CM11 using a recent ClockworkMod recovery - 6.0.3 I think - I got the 'bypass set metadata fails' error, whether I was trying to install from internal or sdcard.

Anyway, this did the trick:

Just had to replace the update-binary file in the CWM zip with the one in that post - everything worked fine after that. Posting in case it helps someone else!

I like succulents build, but the may 23rd is pretty darn slow and buggy. Also the kernel does not support trim for some reason. Heading back to cm for now.

EDIT: Big warning: succulent's may 23rd rom contains a cwm 2.7 recovery... which sounds great, but it completely messed up the partitions on my internal emmc. I had to do a full restore with a bootable sd to get back cwm 6.0.45b. I think this rom was meant to be more experimental...

Flashing CM11 requires CWM version 6.0.4.5 or later. To update your emmc CWM from version 6.0.3.x and earlier, simply use the current CWM to flash the flashable zip for the new CWM provided by Verygreen at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600572 (link labeled "{ovation | hummingbird} recovery image (CWM)").

Your tablet need to be truly idle for trim to run. Either run it manually or use lag fix which is the easiest way.
