Anyone experiencing bugs you need to be on beta 4 and then do another factory reset to correct things.

I can confirm the the tint has changed to transparent black all over from DP3. I have raised complaints about the colorful tints on oreo a while ago and thankfully that has changed.

Yeah sorry, tints, misunderstood. Talking about theme color change with wallpaper. That doesn't work, or maybe I misunderstand their terminology, because it clearly says theme. Whatever... HTC has had full the ming in Android for like 8yrs. Google guess wants to leave it to theme. But. Gives us no options but Substratum which they are breaking.

I see they fixed the always on display information and weather actually works properly. However, I am seeing a notification on the always on display about my commute to work. I have this disabled in my Google feed because traffic literally never changes where I live so its useless information. So I sit here, at work, with a persistent always on display notification about how long is going to take me to get to work.

Long press the date/weather on your home screen and open Preferences. See if it is disabled there as well.
Long press - home settings - at a glance. Traffic notifications are apparently in here as well as about 3 other places. This seems to have fixed it so thanks for that!
Still doesnt make much sense to use this if you are sitting at work and the notification shows you how long it will take for you to get to work.
I agree...mine kept saying 4 minutes to home, no traffic. I'm like yeah...I know...lol
I know smart text select in recent screen doesn't work for any device other than the p2/p2xl but my DP4 P2XL can't utilise this feature too. Is there a hidden settings page or something?
it shouldnt be hidden, though some say the option to enable isnt there.
Long press home screen > home settings > suggestions > Overview selection

just a question,can i use dp4 without root to get safetynet working?i mean i did use dp3 before but all banking apps is not working due to safetynet issues.
Are you on Nova Launcher? Because I notice the back button is still showing while on the homescreen. The transparent navigation bar might be a DP4 + Nova Launcher thing.

I can't use google pay on DP4. I upgraded from DP3 (it worked there) and made a factory reset. I'm not rooted or unlocked.

I wish I could try Android P, but I don't like to format the whole phone once I'd get rid of the beta program. Any way to get out of it without factory-resetting the phone?
If your stock, non rooted, I'm afraid not
I have the exact same issue, no problem on DP3, had to factory reset on DP4 and lost google pay. Its disappointing.
