I couldn't get away from Nexus/Pixel because I loved its interface.
I updated to Android P yesterday and I can't stand the icons that look like any other UI like LG UX or Samsung's, or the quick toggles that don't allow me to adjust the brightness or choose at which wifi to connect. :/
Maybe I should try to give feedback to Google, if I discover how.

Screen colours still terrible if the brightness gets mid-low and there are dark areas in the image.

First, welcome to Android P.

Personally, this is the first time in a long time I'm actual using the stock launcher with stock icons and it's kind of refreshing. But I will be going back to Nova once it fully supports the new Android P launcher features.

What do you mean you can't adjust the brightness in the quick toggles? The slider is still there.

As for taking away the ability to quickly switch to a different WiFi spot or Bluetooth device within the quick settings, that does suck but not a huge deal breaker. I just long press and then select.

Unfortunately a software update isn't going to fix the screens limitations. I do still get crushed blacks in very dark ambient light but I wasn't expecting Android P to fix that.

You know when you slide down once and then twice? When I did once, I could see the brightness slider; now it's gone and I have to slide once more for nothing.
For the display, it's actually still possible to adjust colours, grays and so on to achieve a better (even if not perfect) screen:

Also, I don't see the point of using the "pill" home screen since it uses the same amount of space and there are even more gestures to open the app menu. :|

It was always two pulls even in Oreo so that's not new. See attached screenshot.

I remember when that screen adjustment came out. Did seem promising for Google to possibly do something similar but never got my hopes up that they would make screen calibration adjustments. That's what apps and XDA is for right? LOL. [emoji6]

V4A works for me most of the time, installed via magisk and added profiles. Haven't found an Android p dolby file yet tho
Which one and did you have to change SElinux?

Update... Installed V.15. seems too work. Didn't need to mess with SE Linux. Keeps saying need to download update and reboot.

No didn't change anything else. On Flash kernel though

This is all I have installed and I don't know if I need AML or not.
Huh it won't let me upload the picture but it's v1.7 (2.5.0.5)

You know you can swipe the notification bar down with two fingers and it will expand the quick settings without having to swipe twice.
