I just did a clean install from DP5, root worked fine 16.7

Are you referring to Magisk 16.7? Alsoi seen a question about what kernel to is but no answer, which one SHOULD I be flashing?

Flash his new 3.0 stable version for P. The magisk zip for 16.7(4) is in the same thread as well :good:

Kernel is your choice... I have been using Flash
