The rom only includes the OS and first splashscreen. No radio.
The ROM is in French. See further below for engligh and other languages.
No more updates.

• removed the ANNOYING default.wav sound
• sytem sound set to 0 by default
• sliding sound set to none by default
• no sound on keypress
• Moved ie cookies\cache\history to sd card
• added two new shortcuts : long press on volume up key => toggle bluetooth on/off (thanks to vjvolubilis)
  long press on volume down key => toggle wifi on/off (thanks to WirelessToggle.exe
  a small programm I've found, but I don't know the author..)

You may have to edit the shortcut depending on the number of applications you have installed in the java manager :
The value that might need to be changed is s1_. It could be s0_, or s2_, s3_... Look in windows\Appdb to see what you have.​

Quick installation guide :

An "How-To" txt file is included in the download with instructions on how to flash.​

Known bugs :

• When switching from a smartmonitor homescreen to a homescreen that uses CBReminder you will have to soft reset or the new homescreen won't display properly. This is due to an incompability between the two plugins.
• The rom should be perfectly stable if it is not it's probably because you are running smarttoolkit (the program is still a bit buggy, try disabling animations and global skinning, it helps) or Tornado Power Control.

Thank you ! But I already want to change the graphic side of this rom as I grew tired of it I think I will include different homescreen with the same simple layout but with different backgrounds.

Now 3 answers :
1. Because I don't use it ! But I can easily add it back if people are interested. Maybe I will steal the one on s730 too as I believe it is office mobile 6.1 (but no one has dumped a french rom yet but the majority of the people here don't really care about french language anyway
2. Around 25 Mo. I would have liked to apply Big Storage to the rom but it seems like this tool doesn't work with the Vox.
3. From what I understood there are different part in a full rom update : IPL, SPL, SPLASH, RADIO and SYSTEM (that is the Os part, the one I posted here). I think the Radio part of a rom is actually what controls the GSM function but quite frankly I don't really know exactly what's inside. You should ask the real experts
The splash screens are the first two still images that are displayed when you boot the phone.

Madds : I'm glad you like it.
I've already sent the windows media player skin on Nectun a french site dedicated to skinning but it is not online yet. I join it here too as an attachment.
As for the main theme would you like just the homescreen or also the call in progress, incoming call screens etc... ? If so I'll have to make a cab . In the meantime I'll just join the homescreen part. As for the "skin" I made for the sms part I don't know if it will easily work. In theory you would just have to replace some .css and .htm files but I don't know if the system will let you do it.?
I've also attached the SmartToolKit skin of this rom.

Yes you are right. In fact the developper of smarttoolkit hasn't released yet the format of the language file for RC09 beta. I will add it when it is ready
I know maybe it is not a very good idea to cook a beta version of a rom but I just loove global skinning

I am very sorry but I really don't have time to make the cab and test it. At least for a week.
Still I join you the files and the registry keys. In fact this is the the s730 commmanager with a different backgrounds, with an added vibrate function and some others removed.

Hey Martin!

I have been using your ROM since yesterday, and I have problems turning my keyboard to QWERTY (worked after updating the xT9 to danish/scandinavian langs.), so I'm pleased to see that you will make an update!

Another issue I have notished, is that when you turn the language to english, the sub menus (example: settings, power mannegemant) are still in french!! That's a huge problem when you're english!

Else I LOVE IT! Beautiful work!!!

Ok I think I've found the bug you mentionned. Unfortunately I can't update the rom right now as the computer I'm on doesn't have enough memory to build it
As a quick fix here is what you can do : search for Syslang in the registry of your phone and instead of 040C put 0809. It worked on my phone.

i will receive my vox ( E650 ) soon, orange( France ) too.

I am a .Net Dev, and well know WM6 and .NET CF on a application dev. basis, but not really on a customizing rom basis.

I want to customize my, and to use it to make sip calls ( as i could read on this forum and other, there is several problems regarding sip and E650 ). I plan to dev my own sip API for .NET soon.

I can help in any way ...
