driver equivalent

Hi,
What is the equivalent of a driver for Android?
And can eg. the "driver" for eg. different cameras be installed on the same phone, where the phone is not negatively affected by it?

In Android device drivers are implemented as kernel modules ( module.ko ). These by default are located in /system/lib/modules. AFAIK you can add as many kernel modules as you want.
Because a driver is only a piece of software, what is loaded and run by the device that requires it, it doesn't produce conflicts, IMO.
