Hi everywhere

I have a HTC Sensation XE... my PC have Windows 8.1 x86, but HTC Driver don't works. Just I connect my HTC at PC (from hboot in fastboot obviously), under right appears a popup that says "USB device not recognized". In fact, I tried from cmd "fastboot devices" or "adb devices" ma it doesn't work :/

Sorry for my terrible english but i'm italian xD

Thanks!

Solution!

enable usb debugging mode from settings
use 2.0 usb ports not 3.0
use the original cable if it helps
also install htc sync.it might help
I had the same problem.. And the solution was quite simpel right after I figured it out. Do the whole root/install rom thing on a Windows 7 system. Windows 8.1 is a mess with drivers from older HTC drivers apparently..

Worked like a charm!

Well, I think the Windows 8.1 have some problems in devices. If you need to use fastboot, maybe you can run a virtual computer in windows 7 and even in xp.
