For those who are having drivers problem in windows 8.1 and/or cant get to flash mode or fastboot mode just go to system32/drivers and replace these attached files with the orignal one with administrative access.. and restart your computer .Assuming you have both Sony Pc companion and flashtool installed try to connect your phone again and hurraahhhh phone should be connected..:fingers-crossed:

I had the same problem!
The workaround is: downloaded the tool "take ownership" (just google it), and I took the ownership of the two files.
When done you can substitute two files! :highfive:

Its simple use this method.

• Just advance reboot.
• go to trouble shoot > Then to Startup settings > Restart > After restart select disable driver verification I have video on it in the above link i gave you, ;]

Strange, but i can't install this on W7x32.
Something in the middle of installation i receive error with DPInst cannot run in this system. Or something like this.

it didnt worked for me on my x86. all the usb drives failed after relacing given files. i have copy paste original ones to get PC work

i just boot to advance startup & disable driver signature & voila.... v1.3 installs & phone connects to PC with Flashmode/Fastboot mode!
