yeah man i tried it , didn't work
just a question , is there any hope to revive this god damn phone ,,, it's been more than 5 month tried jtag , QPST needs specific files can't be found online XML , HEX ..... i don't have warranty and i don't wanna throw it away , any suggestions ? , thanks :good:

good news guys.

first of all big big thanks for @n70shan for pointing this method. i have successfully managed to get fastboot in my win 8.1 finally

just need to have replace the 2 files . since i'm using x86 system the original files posted by n70shan didnt worked. just now i have made my 3rd partition and installed win 8 and got the files for x86 system. replaced them and woooooooow fastboot working. :victory::victory::victory:

here are the files for x86 system. this completely safe to do after u pull same two current files from your system and save them just in case if this didnt worked u can replace them back.

There was no driver on Sony website for this even the PC application doesn't have those drivers

yes i have personally tested it on my windows 8.1 pc ok relax.. hope it helps someone,

it always says i need admin permission....but iam admin on my pc...am the sole user.....what should i do?

you have to use "take ownership".

anyway you just dont need to do all this. just go to to control panel and check windows update. u need to update KB2917929 or else u can grab the file and do a standalone install from here

probably... you can check the build date in FlashTool...

the current flashtool v0.9.15 is built on: 2014-03-15

the current driver package is built on: 2014-03-18


so newer drivers are there in the driver package posted here
