This is my exact issue as well, nothing seems to help.

The files in post #179 helped resolve the problem for me on Win8.1 64-bit.

well I gave up on trying to get this to work on windows 8.1, switched to a windows 7 machine but am getting the same thing really.

I try to launch a ADB command and it says there is nothing there.

Here is a shot of the cmd window and my control panel.

I have hboot 1.44
and htc driver 2.0.7.18

EDIT: I switched to HTC Driver HTCDriver v4.11.0.001.exe based on the previous post but still the same result


I feel stupid, I didn't have debugging enabled

I'm on win 8.1 I never did get anything to work I got this error too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47778469&postcount=180
solution? Found an older ssd WIN 7 disk lying around and after plugging in phone from fastboot it said "Android 1.0" immediately. I still got the yellow triangle but after downloading a folder containing the win 7 installation files for android htc (just a general driver) it installed and my phone was recognised as "My Htc". F**k win 8.1 .........................
