Haven't really decided if I am going to take the risk and try it quite yet. Slightly disappointed they couldn't give me a yes or no answer and stuck with the "maybe it will maybe it won't" route

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Trident Aegis case does fit the BN Droid Turbo. I just got one and it slipped onto my phone like a glove. I also have the Tudia slim fit but feel that it is a piece of crap. Looks cheap and nasty. The Trident case, however, looks great. So happy it fits as Trident could not guarantee that it fit the BN version.

Hope this helps[/QUOTE]

Absolutely. Thanks for posting your results was getting real bored with my utter box. I almost forgot all about this.

Hi,
I have a Droid Turbo, Ballistic Nylon version. I am a rough user, and do have the occasional drops. Plus I am using such a big phone for the first time, so am a bit fumbly as well. What case should I go for? I was looking at the Tudia Cygen version, but it looks very smooth, is it slippery? What other cases can be recommended? I need something which protects, isn't very slippery, and not very bulky as well. Sub USD 15 preferably.

I have the Cygen and it is slippery.
It also comes off easily. Way too easy. I think that should I drop the phone, it may come out
of the case and get damaged.
I also ordered the Trishiekd case, and loving it.
It is an otterbox type case.
While the back is hard plastic. It has a pattern that keeps it from being slippery. It also has
a rubber insert that protrudes on the corners and on the sides, giving it solid protection.
Very happy with it for $16 shipped.

I have both the cygen and the slim from tudia. I prefer the slim because it has by far higher screen ridges protection and the cygen sits flush aligned with the screen meaning no protection.

I have the Life proof Fre and I love it. It does cause a slight issue with sound muffling, but the protection is great, no issues so far. The sound issue goes away (somewhat), with an audio boost root .IMG flashed. I tend to use my droid as a Droid (think star wars), an ever connected computer as opposed to just a smartphone, I think that is why it does not bother me as much. No one calls me at home, I get enough of that at work!

are they going to redesign the case? they seem to be out of stock in many places. (i bet they are trying to fix sound and the lip over the buttons would drive me insane, I think. ;) )

I believe so, it would make since, as good as it is, it definitely could be improved. This case does work well, the lip over the buttons takes a bit of getting use to though.

I'm using the VZW brown leather case. It's a bit pricey, but it fits well; all of the ports, buttons and camera are readily accessible; and Qi wireless charging TYLT VU) works fine with the case on.

Some bonehead wrote multiple bad reviews on the VZW website, saying you can't remove the case without destroying it, but that simply isn't true.

To get the phone out out the case, just push up from the bottom. I stick the eraser end of an unsharpened pencil through the USB opening in the case and push up. (Note for the challenged: Do NOT stick stuff into the actual USB port on the phone.) My phone has the ballistic nylon back and it goes in and out easily enough, with a snug fit, so I would expect the smooth backed version to be even easier.

Without reading 30 or so pages... Did anyone ever come up with a decent bumper case for the Turbo?
I like the idea of leaving the back open to show off the ballistic nylon... I just want to keep the edge and corners from getting scratched or dinged up...

I never found one, although I did find a cheap nice case for it... But alas, with the constant delay and no end in sight for the Lollipop update, I just said screw it and returned the Turbo and got a Nexus 6 and am very happy with it so far...

Too big for me but im glad you like it. Hopefully we will be getting the lollipop update soon. I may check out some of the case options on Amazon.

Yeah, it is big(giggity), but it isn't any bigger really than a Note 4 or even an iPhone 6 plus... But not having to deal with bloat, or be sitting here 8+ months after the release of Lollipop and still waiting on an update is nice. Moto says that it is still in the lab, which means it still has to go through VZW, so I figure we wouldn't see it until July or even early August at this rate... By the time Lollipop hits the Turbo, Android M will be about ready to drop.

The Nexus is pretty much the same insides as the Turbo, and still a Moto phone...

Agreed.

Of the dozen or so cases I've bought for my Ballistic Nylon Quark, I keep going back to that one. -- Diztronic.

I even recently bought the TUDIA Ultra Slim. Tried it for a few days, now in a drawer. The Diztronic is a winner.

Volume and power buttons are still very responsive. Unobtrusive design. Comes in Black or Red.

Just make sure you get one titled "Ballistic Nylon" if that's what you want. On the same Amazon page you can find the choices for Kevlar-only Quark models too. Don't get them confused. :)
